The Sanus BF-24B speaker stands work well and have kept my speakers off the floor for the better part of a year. They are easy to assemble and come with some little spikes that act as feat, keeping the stands securely in place in carpet. I have 2 rambunctious Rottweilers and a crazy mutt and I can't tell you how many times they have bumped into my right front speaker, but the stand has yet to tip, probably due to the previously mentioned spikes digging into the living room carpet.
The base of the stand has a slightly porous surface that tends to hold dust making it difficult to clean and catching all the lint from your rags or paper towels. The rear piece is very flimsy and pops out easily.
Over all it's a great product and goes well with out entertainment center.

They are pieces of wood(-like material) that hold a speaker a couple feet off the ground. I don't understand why speaker stands are so expensive. If I had a saw and some time I would have tried to make my own. But these are the cheapest ones I could find, and I was surprised that they are actually pretty good quality (and look good too). Took about 10 minutes to put both of them together, very simple with no issues.

Just received and built two sets of these stands for my home theater system to get a better audio profile with the raised speakers. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised as to the quality of these stands for the price. They were assembled seemliness and feel very solid in construction. I also like the hidden wire channel down the center of the stand (although since I am using white wire, you can see it through the front on 1 of the 4 stands in which the wire pushed forward). I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for some quality budget speaker stands.

This pair of stands work as advertised to lift bookshelf speakers 24 inches off the ground achieving the relative height of a tower speaker. Costs much less than competing stands. They are however made of cheap material if you can about that kind of stuff. I just assembled them, put my speakers on them, and forgot about it. Haven't run into any problems. Other reviews posted here are accurate in their description of this product and it's relative strengths and shortcomings.

I couldn't decide between the BF and NF-series speaker stands for a long time, thinking that there might be something low-quality about these BF-24B (cheaper) stands. However, after visitng the website, looking at the pics and reviews for both, decided to go with the lower-cost option and am absolutely content with that choice. Stands look great, are easy to assemble, structurally secure and sound great with my P162s. I really don't know if a true audiophile could tell the difference between BF and NF, so it mainly comes down to the look and finish. In my mind paying twice as much for slightly better looking (yet, functinally same) stands wasn't worth it - but you decide.
